Recently Google officially released the „premium. version of its popular web analytics platform – Google Analytics (GA) Premium. A sizable number of web owners and advertisers use Google Analytics to track their web site performances and have struggled to use its full potential due to limitations that exists in the GA free version and the GA version which gives added benefit if you are an AdWords advertiser. Apple announced the much anticipated iPhone 5 last week, except they didn’t, and instead chose to rework the insides of the most recent version (iPhone 4) to produce the iPhone 4S with an improved camera, voice assistant (the “Siri” acquisition of last year), faster processors and two antennas, which mean it will work in any country (GMA and CMDA networks). The 4S had a warm reception but overall was not what people were expecting.

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) who are responsible for administering and distributing domain names, have now confirmed that their proposed offering of new generic top-level domains (gTLDs) has been cleared to proceed. In addition to the existing .com, .org, .edu, and .gov top-level domains, the new gTLDs will be highly customizable and could feasibly be anything, from a corporate domain (.Apple), to a brand (.iPhone), to a business category or industry (.music).
Last week Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos launched the latest salvo in the tablet wars. The Kindle Fire is Amazon’s new version of their highly successful e-reader. However, this time around Bezos has a much bigger target in his sights. Last week at Facebook‟s annual F8 Developers Conference, CEO Mark Zuckerburg announced some eagerly anticipated changes to their platform. General consensus is that this will dramatically change the way that users interact on Facebook. In particular, there will be additional incentive for users to share even more data. Furthermore, new social applications will bring more content into the social graph and support exclusive partnerships with Spotify, Yahoo, Netflix, and others.
